1. If I zap my petpet using the Petpet Lab Ray, and it turns into an avatar petpet, can I get the avatar with that?

Yup! For example, if your Warf gets zapped into a faerie Snowbunny, you will get the Snowbunny avatar as soon as the petpet is old enough (or if your petpet is already old enough, you'll get the avatar immediately!)

2. Do painted petpets work for avatars?

Yes :) A faerie-colored Gruslen will get the you avatar just as a normal orange colored one would.

3. One of my petpets is fully aged, but I'm not getting the avatar! Help?

This is a problem that often happens if your pet's name (say Fluffy_24) has the same number of letters as the petpet's species (say Quadrapus). Since both Fluffy_24 and Quadrapus both have nine letters, normally, Fluffy would not accept this petpet in the first place.

Many people get past this problem by changing the Neopets site language, and attaching the petpet in French, Spanish, etc. so that the pet will take the petpet. However, once it is fully aged, this causes a problem because the system doesn't "recognize" the species anymore. To fix this, you can try two solutions:

a) Try switching your language for Neopets, refreshing your pet's lookup for every language to see if any will award the avatar.

b) If none of the languages work, you will need to paint your petpet a different colour. (For example, Sketch Quadrapus or Pink Quadrapus.) After painting, your avatar should be instantly available in English.

4. On my profile, it says that "## are humanly possible to get", meaning there are five you can't get! Which are those?

Within your collection, you can only have: a) one of two Royal Korbat avatars b) one of two Meridell Shield or Darigan Shield avatar c) and one of four Maraquan and Pirate war avatars. So the five you can't get are one Royal Korbat, one Meridell/Darigan shield, and three war avatars, for a total of five.

What about the Meerca Henchman avatars you ask? Read onto the next question!

5. Wait! So how was it possible to get BOTH Meerca Brother avatars then?!?

You could get both Meerca Brothers avatars by fighting twice when they first came out, but now you can no longer do that. In order to reflect the highest possible count that someone *may* have, we assume that someone might have a collection that has both Meerca Bro. avatars.

6. If I get a petpet zapped into a krawk by petpet labray, can I take it to the fungus caves and get a full size krawk neopet (plus the avvie!)?

You used to be able to do that, but alas, TNT caught on and it doesn't work anymore :(

7. If I have a mootix attached and turmaculus eats my petpet, do I lose the mootix? And if so, do I lose the mootix avvie then?

Once you get an avatar, you can't lose it, with the exception of the Emo Usuki, Sloth (in a random event), and the Deadly Dice. You *will* lose your Mootix permanently though :(

8. About the cellblock avatar... how do you get it?

Neopets confirmed to us that it is *not* random as previously thought, but there isn't a solid theory formed yet as to exactly how to get it. If you figure out a pattern, let us know! :)
