What are 'points in queue' for AutoAdd?
Points in queue are a special type of AutoAdd point that you can ONLY use for AutoAdd: you cannot use them during special events such as beta testing. Each month, your points in queue will be restored to 2, regardless of whether you used zero, one, or all of last month's queue points. You can never have more than 2 queue points at once, and queue points can never be converted to permanent points.
If you use up both queue points and still need to use AutoAdd, you can then use up a permanent point, or wait until the next month when you will get two new queue points.
Therefore, with the new system, each user gets two "free" uses of AutoAdd per month (but there is no requirement to use the queue points at all).
Can you add somewhere where we can put our sidebar themes?
Since there are so few sidebar themes in the first place, and this site is called AVATARlog (not sidebarlog), at the moment I really don't see it fitting into our site :)
Can you add a Punchbag Sid alert?
We have no plans to add one for Punchbag Sid, since it is very difficult to track when to officially start an alert, and when to end it that alert. The other alerts all end on :00 minutes on the next hour, but Sid does not follow this system at all.
Can you make it so that we can order our daily list?
Yup :) Just click on Daily Order.
Can you fix the Compare page so that avatars like the Royal Korbat ones don't show up as unique if I'm comparing to a friend who has the other one?
I could do that, but at the same time, a lot of people want to compare with those avatars included, instead of having the count them in additionally on the side. Since it is impossible to make everyone happy, I'm just going to leave the Compare page as it is, and if you want to exclude things like the Royal Korbat or War avatars, you'll need to pick them out yourself ^_^
How do I give myself an avatar on this site so it shows up in my Profile?
You can change that, and your site theme and other things, on the Preferences page under 'Your Account' :)
~~How come my post is blue colored, when the other posts have beige/tan colored bars?~~
(This question is no longer relevant.) Posts on the Tagboard are only beige if a staff member approves the post of being a valid question that we think others would ask :) Other posts, such as spam, unrelated questions, or simply posts that the staff haven't gotten to answering are blue-bar'd. (After all, the staff aren't online 24/7 to approve posts!)
How do you get AutoAdd points? Why are there limited points?
At the moment, the only way to get more AutoAdd points is to sent in a fully developed and well-written guide for an avatar that doesn't already have a guide (see this page).
You shouldn't need too many autoadd points, because the purpose of autoadd is to help you update your collection when you first register (and have a looot of avatars to add in) :) After that, you should be able to use the normal View by Category or View lists to update your avatars as you get them. Auto-Add use is limited because the feature uses up a lot of resources: by limiting how many times someone can use it, this keeps our site up and running and free from overload problems.
Ahh! There's a bunch of blank links on my Dailies page :(
Norton Internet blocks links that contain the string /sponsors/ by default. This causes 5 of the dailies links to display as blank. How to fix it? Go to the AntiSpam tab, select Ad Blocking and Configure. Go to the (Ad Blocking) General tab, click Advanced. Manually add avatar.starried.net to the list of sites, click on Add, and "Permit" the string /sponsors/. Save settings. Problem should be fixed! (Huge thanks to angelsk for figuring this out :)
Can you add a user ranking system? Like so many people have ## avatars?
That's not something I'd really like to add in at the moment :) I'd like for the goal of this site to improve your own avatar collection, not create competition by comparing it to how many avatars other people have.
What about a list of who and how many people have each avatar?
Again, not in my plans since that tends to lead to begging, scamming and unnecessary contact. I also wish to respect people's privacy in their collections and not have them targeted out for a specific avatar they have :P
Will there ever be a chatboard or forums on the site?
Forums not only take up a lot of space and bandwidth, but they also require a lot of staff management to keep all the posts moderated and stuff. That's something I don't quite want to deal with right now, but maybe later :)
Why do I see the and next to usernames?
The smiley symbol next to a name tells you that that particular user has their profile on Public - you can click the link and view their avatars if you want :) On the other hand, if you see a hidden smiley, this means that the user is on Privacy, and if you click on their profile link, you will only get a message saying "Sorry! user has set their preferences to keep their avatar collection and NeoPets username private."
How do I edit my profile preference?
You can switch your profile to and from public to private and back using the last option on the Preferences page.
How can I show my friends on Neopets my avatar collection here?
First, make sure your profile preference is set to Public. Then you can use the default link of http://avatar.starried.net/profile.php?viewuser=yourusernamehere to link them to your list :)
I was looking at an in-depth guide, and it says that 0% own this avatar, so how can 0.245% be using it on the Neoboards?
The statistics for owning the avatar is rounded to the nearest percent, but the statistics for using one is rounded to more decimal places. So really, something like 0.0000036% people own it, but that gets rounded to 0 :)
